| Okay, it's been awhile. For a few weeks I was caught up in the myspace thing and totally forgot about xangas, but I'm back. It's been an interesting past few days. Tonight I went to Jeff's and played some DDR. I can do most of the Light songs with an A or a B, and I can do a few Standard songs, but not close to being ready for Heavy.
My dad, Ty, and I went down to Emmerson to get our new bowling balls drilled. We just got them a few days ago, but they're a late Christmas present. Mine's red and grey and looks pretty sweet. I tried it out for one game. Took me a long time to figure out how to throw it, but I finally got a decent curve out of it. Now of course I'll have to figure out how to do it at North Hills, then figure out how much of a curve I can get and where to aim...so much work to do. IT'S GONNA BE FUN THOUGH. I'm definitely excited about this.
For A.C.T. I'm no longer with the police department. I'm now at Harmar School, helping Mr. Schumm and Mrs. Hess. It's a whole lot of more fun than I expected it to be. The only rough part is when the little kids won't shut the hell up, BUT usually things go smoothly. So far I've been working a lot with small groups of kids, but I also taught one class how to identify different angles and I taught another class about symmetry. By the way, teaching stuff that's visual (i.e. symmetry) is NOT a whole lot of fun. I'd much rather teach stuff that's straight numbers (and of course variables). This goes all the way back to me loving Algebra more than Geometry I suppose. *Sigh* The good old days.
In the WoW world the guild I'm in is growing. We have somewhere near 200 different accounts on it. Me, Ty, Corey Farris, Scott Quigley, and just recent Joe Beringer and Josh Dunn are all members of Le Archons. Quite possibly the best guild you'll find on the Dragonblight server, and I'm at the top of the ranks :).
| Had some loooong nights recently. Thursday night I stayed up till 8:30 in the morning playing computer games at a LAN. I then slept for about three hours and woke up at noon. Later that night I heard there was another LAN so I headed over to that one. It's now 9:30 the next morning and I've yet to get sleep. Just wanted to post this pic before I passed out.

Now...I just hope I can get back into a reasonable sleeping routine before school begins. Let's see if I'll be awake before the ball drops tonight; if not, had a good 2005 everyone, and here's to 2006; a year long awaited by us seniors!!!
| Alright. Another Christmas has come and gone. What did I get? Clothes, clothes, clothes, and then some. Other than that Ty and I both got Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Fire Emblem (both for GCN). Brenton, Suzanne, and Josh all got me stuffed penguins, which was very awesome and my thanks to you all.
Quick summary of Operation Santa Claus. Our ACT class of 31 kids raised money and took in donations for 20+ needy families in our community. Although we only rose $2k, we did get a LOT of donated toys and clothes. SO, Monday to Thursday we wrapped the donated stuff for about 2hrs each day. Friday we went to Wal-Mart and spent $35 on each kid we had. I was in a group with Kayleigh and Nicole Best, we had two familes with 7 kids overall. After going on our shopping-spree it ended up we spent about $5-10 more than we were supposed to, which was a lot better than the other groups did. So then Saturday we spent a good 3 hours wrapping the new gifts we had gotten. Then Christmas came and we all met at the Highschool at 8 in the morning. We were there for about 45 minutes trying to figure out exactly where our families lived. A Santa eventually came in, carrying a spare Santa outfit. For some reason Kayleigh and Nicole had suggested to Mr. McCauley that I'd make a great Santa. So, not wanting to be mean on Christmas, I humored them and put on the outfit. Needless to say I wasn't too convincing (my 148 lbs isn't quite enough for Santa). We finally headed out to find our families' houses. It took us 45 minutes to get to the first house, which was out near Beverley. The family was great and the kids were adorable. Just about all the little kids' jaws dropped when they saw Santa walk in :) . We stuck around for them to open some of their gifts, the entire time the mother kept saying, "My gosh, there are so many gifts, I had no idea." Obviously it was a great feeling. There's no other way I'd rather have spent Christmas morning. After finding the first house we set out for the second. It was on the way back to Marietta and the occupants definitely weren't as welcoming as the previous. This time we had the genuine Santa go in. He did a great job trying to be friendly to the kids there, but the parents just weren't too cheery. We brought all the presents in and got the heck out of there ASAP, there was some creepy grandmother sitting in a corner...spooked me. Anyway, I hope they had a great Christmas nonetheless.
The rest of the day was fairly uneventful. I went to my cousin's to watch her two babies open their presents. Sat around with my brother and other cousin trying to put a toy tool bench together (it was tricky). Then we went home around noon and opened our own presents (already told you what those were). Cleaning followed the opening of presents and our relatives came over for dinner. I beat my cousin-in-law at Madden 2005 while the rest of the family opened more presents. Tis the season. It was a fun night though. I always enjoy the company of my cousins.
| Wow, it's almost been an entire month. Biggest news I suppose is that I finally got to level 60 in World of Warcraft. Also I got first chair in band, but I don't care too much about concert season. This week I have a whole shitload of English homework to do, but I'll manage to get it all done last minute. Also I've been working on my application to CMU, still have an essay to write, teacher reccomendations to get, and have to give it all to Scohy, but I'm close. That should be done by the end of the week.
If I think of more stuff I'll add it later, but that's a pretty quick catch up of what I've been doing. Oh, and if you haven't already, check out this link, it's very insightful. http://hobbes.ncsa.uiuc.edu/desiderata.html (Desiderata)
By the way, thank God for women. They make things so much more...interesting!
